Wood is Good!!
I own a Savage & an Omega both are laminated.
The balance and feel of the guns is way above the synthetic stocks.
Laminated guns will hold up good against the elements too.
Both first rate guns. The Savage can soot smokeless and has a better barre (in my opinion) than T/C.
Groups are about 2" @ 100yds with Omega & 1" or less with the Savage with more velocity by I think about 500 fps.

OK.. well having an opinion is good. And I am sure there are some that agree and others that disagree. That's the nature of the beast. I never shot a Savage but have looked at them. They are a beautiful looking rifle.
