No such a creature a "Ghost Gun" buying 75% to 80" finished receiver finishing it yourself then buying the rest the gun to build it some where no matter how obscure, or how small a detail someone recorded the parts being purchased gun store has video, on line there is a paper trail somewhere if one applies the right leg work one could track down every "Ghost Gun" ever built. Even if sold off to a private party, every one rolls these days. Ask Gotti

Stop and realize any part change or repair would be concidered now a ghost gun. Soon enough conversion cylinders for cap n ball revolvers would make them ghost guns. Just the next step to rip apart the second am.
YUP I can agree there, parts kits are a blessing but under nazi rule today they are a curse as well

Why are ghost guns currently legal under federal law?
Trying to back door a "REGISTRATION" for guns while one already exists the 4473, that phone call everything is recorded, numbers are assigned. For a gun dealer to say it is NOT a registration well is a blatant LIE, if it were not why not sell the gun without it??? They can not, they will be arrested for illegal arms sales, loose the FFL and see fines if not prison time on top. Taurus/Hipoint Enthusiast on Youtube called out Florida Gun Supply years ago on it. HE MAKES SENSE.

I always did question how filling out the 4473 was somehow different from a "registration"
