Are there any pros and cons about using JB bore paste in a new muzzle loader barrel

JB bore paste is a wonderful cleaner and polish and i use it on every gun i buy,new or used.pro's,easier cleaning and loading.con's,can't think of any.......karl

how often and why use it? I f I have put 2-300 bullets out of gun, should i use it? Everytime I clean?

There is no need to use it every time you clean. But a couple times a year does not hurt the barrel at all. I think it is a great cleaner.

This is not the only place, but Brownells has exclusive licensing to the J-B products. Some of the sporting goods stores sell it as well as other mail/internet order sites. "J-B Non-Embedding Bore Cleaning Compound" is what you should be looking for.

There are also other J-B products like J-B Bore Bright. Read the descriptions for each, but the Non-Embedding Bore Cleaning Compound (paste) is what I use. Here is the Bore Bright as well.
