Gobble Gobble...

My first 2 birds... 1st was taken on my Birthday and the second was the following day.. Both in Rosebud SD with my Extrema w/ Primos Jelly Head ... Called the second in with my Bud & Betty slate..

In 2.5 days it took to tag out, we saw hundreds of birds.. It was fantastic!

Are you mounting one?

Mrs. Spit and I had 5 or 6 birds in our camp every day.
Not to mention 5 or 6 deer

Shots were in the 30 yd range...

I am getting the biggest one mounted and the best part the one I took on my B-day was the biggest of our group! 8) And yep spit... Im getting him mounted! He's a hog!

This was one of the best trips I've been on in awhile but we did hunt hard!! Typical day was 4:30 am to 9:30 pm but it was run and gun... we saw over 300 birds in 2.5 days it took to tag the 8 toms.

To me.. those 2.5 days of heavy turkey activity was equal to about 5 years of Southern Ohio turkey hunting. I learned a ton!!!!! Funny thing---- Absolutly no decoys were used on our hunts... we tried the first set and the birds were afraid of them.
