It's the end of muzzleloading season here in NC and I have 2 round left in my speedloaders. Do I need to return the powder to the can or is it OK to store it in the speedloaders and use it next year. All my powder, ammo etc. is stored in a wooden game box in my closet.

Mark, I would save them and use them to check zero next time you get ready to hunt. Of course fire a couple of fresh loads for comparison. Put them in that box where you can't miss seeing them.

another idea is to use them in a ML shotgun for small game. Thats what I do with mine, still good for squirrels or even a turkey.

As long as the load has been clean & dry(should of been) I always put them back in the powder container.
