Lyman Deerstalker Barrel

I have been looking locally and online for a while for a drop in replacement barrel for a Lyman deer stalker left hand flintlock in 1:28 to no avail. One local dealer said he could retrofit a TC barrel to fit but the cost would be close to $500 till he is done as the hooked breech needs altered. If anyone sees such a barrel post a reply.

Mid South shooters Supply has them I believe.

I correct that Mid South Shooters Supply has replacment barrels but they are 1-48 twist not 1-28.

1-48" twist will handle sabots up to at least 250gr rather nicely. It also works with PRB, and short conicals.

I shoot sabots out of my 1/48 flinty all the time. Proably more than I should!
