They finally made it clear, the 2009-2010 proclamationis out and it states that smokeless is not allowed in muzzleloader season. Page 6 Of course you can use it in the "Any Legal Sporting Arm" season.

Muzzleloader
Includes rifles and shotguns in which the charge and projectile are
loaded through the muzzle. Only black powder, Pyrodex, or an
equivalent substitute may be used. Smokeless powder is illegal.
Legal muzzleloading shotguns are those capable of being fired
from the shoulder only. Muzzleloaders may use in-line ignition,
pelleted powder, sabots, belted bullets, and scopes.

It's even listed in bold.

Oh yeah, that's what I did last year for my elk tag. And the Omega is a lot lighter than my Savage (more accurate also).

I tried 3 of the T7 Mag pellets and a Parker 275 BE in my Savage the other day just for giggles and it shot great. I have a target posted under the "Smokeless load in Savage" post. This is my BP Xpress load and I decided to give it a go in the Savage. Use at your own risk.

I know, I know. The post that the target is in is "Non-smokeless load in a Savage".
