This spring I completed my turkey gauge slam (28 ga). For those who might not know wahat a gauge slam is: it's the taking of a turkey with all six shotgun gauges (10,12,16,20,28, & 410). Tip: with the small gauges, use shot size
7 1/2 and get the birds in close. Now if you also kill a turkey with the bow, then it becomes a gauge slame-plus! (yep, I've take couple with bow too). Have any of you done this??

Gauge Slam

Congratulations on your Slam. I'm still trying to get my first turkey. Good luck this spring.

Cool accomplishment, but can't be done in some states--20 ga or bigger some places. Now get a couple with an 18th century flintlock fowler and a cylinder bore (all they had until choke was invented in the 1800's). That would be cool

I just got my Iowa turkey license so now I have something to look forward to in a couple months.

Have fun.
