Twice! Little bitty deer, but heck, they taste good. First shot, as I was walking in to set up, around 2:00. Rounded a corner - offhand, about 80 yards, perfect heart/lung, went about 5 yards. Second, last couple of minutes, nothing else in sight, 40 yards, same shot. Went about 25 yards. With 240gr. XTP over 100gr. 777, I was overgunned by a good bit. The farmer wants them gone, and I like to eat them! Only one rifle left, that I have not killed a deer with, the CVA Bobcat. It has fiber optic sights, but my eyes are not very good anymore. Have to pick the day - nice and bright.

Excellent lewistt! Good shooting. Venison is venison and though everyone likes to shoot a big deer now and then, give me a young doe any day.

Congratulations on the does... nothing better then a couple of nice young deer to eat.
