too bad it was a John Deere followed by a Catipillar escavator. I climbed down out of the stand and went home!

Unless they working nearby, I wouldn't have let that heavy equipment bother me. Deer don't seem to be bothered much by heavy machinery.

I have disturbed the woods on the farm that I hunt all day cutting wood and hunted that evening setting almost on top of were we worked all day and killed deer the same evening. They get used to noises and types of activity and will totally ignore it including the scent it lays down. I smelled like a sweaty chainsaw when I have killed several deer.

When the Deere's are cutting the corn is when I want to be out hunting. I have tolked with the guys who cut and they say the deer will move over a few rows to get out of the way but not run.

Chainsaws are another good deer attractant but I will save that for another thread :)
