If shooting sabots with BH209 do you still not need to swab and remove plastic residue from the sabot?

I do not swab between shots at all with BH209 and sabots are all I ever shoot. I never noticed any plastic build up in the bore of my rifles.

No swabbing until im done for the day.

Hoppes #9 and there is another solvent made for Cowboy Action events that works well too.

5 patch cleanup...no BS

While it is a good idea to clean the gun every time you shoot I shot for 3 days to see if there was a point where I needed to clean anything besides the carbon in the breach plug. It was shooting just as well and accurately and loading just as easy at the end of the 3 days as it did when I started. Lee

Never swab at the range.

However, cleaning the bore with a plastic removing solvent every now and then is still not a bad idea.

I run a boresnake every three or four shots, more from habit than anything else.
