T/C was introducing their new Encore line at the SCI show in Reno over the weekend. I wasn't there but Sheephunter was and maybe after the fog clears in his head he can tell us about the new shooters.

I was sworn to secracy until their big announcement at the SHOT Show in February but the new Encore is called a Pro Hunter and you can look for some big changes in the stock, barrel and breech plug.

Nope....no smokeless!

Oh ya, I forgot...they changed the hammer too!

Cabelas already has the ""Encore Pro Hunter Series" barrels in their latest "Shooting and Reloading" 2006 catalog.

tooldog.

Did you like the changes? Sheep, did you see a G2 in stainless?

The changes were welcomed for sure and showed some great innovation in a couple of cases....No...I only checked out the new Encore. I was extremely busy at the show and didn't get to spend as much time at the T/C booth as I'd of liked!

No...this is a totally new and revolutionary breechplug design....think way outside the box!

This is as far outside the box as it gets: http://www.centerfiremuzzleloading.com/default.htm Course then it's no longer a muzzleloader either.

http://www.prbullet.com/hornet.htm This one isn't too bad. I use the 25 ACP version in My Omega.

How much further outside the box can you get?

man, if yall think that centerfiremuzzleloading concept is revolutionary, wait until you see this:

http://www.tcarms.com/TC_HTML/TC_Enc_R.htm

it uses an entirely self-contained cartridge, and can be loaded from the breech! :D :D :D gentlemen . . . the future is here. :D

There might be a clue in these THREADS.

THAT'S IT! THEY'RE DOING AWAY WITH A THREADED BREECHPLUG! Oh wait, it's been done before. The old H+R Huntman had a non threaded plug. Dangerous thing. Have a hang fire, open the action and get a breechplug in your skull.

There's just not that much you can do to a breechplug that hasn't been done before in some fashion.

Don't be so sure Patrick. T/C does have a new breechplug design that appears to be novel. I can assure you it is safe.
