250 gr Hornady SST bullets are the same as their 250 gr Leverevolution bullets EXCEPT the Leverevolution bullet has a cannel lure for crimping the case mouth, of a brass case, around it. Not sure how they will group, but I will let you know.

FTX's have the "spongey" points, weather that will make a difference.

I use those a lot....FTX series

The jackets are also supposed to be a little thicker than SSTs. Ive fired 200-325gr FTXs and they all expanded/penetrated fine at ML velocities.

Even the 50cal 300gr (50S&W) did well at about 1500fps into my redneck testing media. :D

I want to try the 265gr 44cal FTX next. Its designed for the 444 Marlin so it should be a good choice if its shoots accurately.

The .44/265gr. FTX shoots great in my Endeavor. Can't wait to try it out on something durring the late Muzzleloader season. Shooting it with 110gr. of BH209 and a Harvester green sabot.
