The larger boar and the banded sow were in one trap. The large boar weighed around 275 pounds, the smaller boar around 200 pound and the sow about 250 pounds.

The meat from a fat wild hog is much better than the pen raised stuff at the supermarket. The meat don't look like the pale domestic stuff.

Wild hogs are not fed growth hormones or antibiotics.

I know that domestic hogs come in 2 varieties- lard & bacon, long & short ones, is it the same with the feral ones & do you need a license to kill them?

We have six traps including a small corral type trap: This is one trap:

A side view of the same trap:

Traps are staked down to prevent hogs from upsetting the trap and escaping.
