Breech plug shoulders and gas cutting

My Black Diamond XR's breech plug has a very narrow bearing shoulder and while I havent had any problems with sticky plugs or fouled threads, it does make me wonder about if and when some flame ( gas) cutting might occur.I'm thinking about having the face of the plug faced off abit to expand the bearing surface.Actually, I'd love a plug face like the one on the Omega.Very wide. Any thoughts? This current plug has 900 rounds on it and all is well.I'd very much like to keep it that way!
