Got the mmp-12 * 300gr xtp's to shoot!

I fired a 50gr APP squib shot in my accura and loaded up one of the bear to load mmp-12 300gr mag xtp combos. These went down pretty darned smooth once i got past the QLA.

Ive come to realize that if using APP its best to load up your actual hunting charge and fire the real bullet as well. The squib shot without a bullet just doesnt give the same fouling thats needed.

These bullets before with Pyrodex RS and swabbing wouldnt give me but a 8" group.

The lowest shot was my first shot, had i done a squib shot with the real load, i'd most likely have had a 3 shot touching group.

That is some good shooting. Like I said, I tried APP and also Clean Shot and it worked good. But I never had any luck with heavy sabots.

I think those were very similar to one of the first sabot/bullets i ever got. Still really good shooters today too. The 300gr XTP MAGS will plow though almost anything in range.
