what is the best load for this sidelock. 50-65g of 2f .490 prb, 015. patch is ok for putting holes in papper, but what about hunting deer with?

80-90gr Pyrodex RS ( or 2f goex) 295gr powerbelt


Almost like your bobcat but mine is a mountain stalker with a 1:32 twist. I did this the other day with 80gr american pioneer 3f and a 360gr Lee Minie @ 50 yards.

Mine shoots 80-85 grains of powder and a patched ball. Three deer never knew what hit them with that load.
