I needed a few 150gr (loose pyrodex RS) loads and on my other brass measure it came out as 108.2 grains by weight. Does this sound about right?

Yeah it does. I didn't have any RS where I could put my hands on it quickly but did find some Pyrodex Select. 150gr BY VOLUME weighed 98.1gr so you are right there.

That would depend on if you are at the top of the jug with the large grains and lots of airspace, or at the bottom of the jug with the small grains that are much more dense. There is a difference, but if you find a happy medium, the weight will never lie as long as your scale is reliable.

Blackhorn 209 is the same from top to bottom, "good to the last drop".
