Hi All
I have some hunting land in east central Minnesota(40 acres) with 15 in crops. (corn grasshay and oats) There trails that have clover and chickory on them.
The woods are white oaks and popple trees with some wild plum and raspberry bushes. and a canary grass swamp.
I have about 20-25 young turkies and 4-5 older birds that come through now and then. I would like to make it so they would stay around all year around.
What can I plant to keep the happy and healthy in the winter?
Thanks for any help Jeff

I agree with food and roost-trees. Around here I have heard that the gound covers such as clover provide not only food but protection for the little chicks to hide in. Also they wouldn't want any harassment from coyotes, racoons to raid their nests, or people for that matter. Good luck
