I'm with Steve. Sight in at 50 but make sure you double check at 100 and 150 if that's what your range will be. I've just gone through a rigorous sighting-in episode and will verify that cutting holes at 50 can turn into 6+ inch groups at 100.

I'm not questioning the .243 for killing ability. It is a proven caliber and will do the job just fine. The outfitter has a still deer only policy - I guess due to a lot of poor marksmanship issues on the hunters' parts. Sure, you get excited, but to shoot with the scope bouncing all over...
