    whats it worth

Id say you could get 200 for it in NIB condition. The next cheapest option right now for anyone wanting a .32 is a crockett rifle from traditions and those are around 350.00 I paid too much for my very used CVA squirrel cause I didnt do the research, I paid 200.00! I offered it for sale and got...

    Big game draw.

Just curious, why not BP? Good luck on your draw. I put in for Muzzleloader Moose season on the army base up here, couple of cow moose tags and a bison Tag. Our draw hunts dont accrue points or anything, its strickly luck of the draw. Ive never won in the 10 or so seasons Ive applied for. One...

    cabelas sidelocks

This Hunting trip will be from treestands set up along a salmon stream. My buddy wants to get one with his bow, And I want to use the muzzleloader. We will be backing up eachother with a 300 win mag. I carry a 454 casull, and he carries a 44 as well. Im not so much worried about an attack at...

    cabelas sidelocks

I would like to use these guns for a brown bear hunt. I hear ya on the double rifle. 72 would be a pain to deal with up here, and recoil would probably get to me. The hawken sporterized carbine 54 is what Im really leaning into. I like the twist rate, but what am I gonna give up in terms of...

    cabelas sidelocks

Cabelas has a couple of rifles im interested in. one is the sporterized hawken carbine, the other is the kodiak express double rifle. Anyone out there ever used one? What is the knockdown power of the 72? I bet that one is a bone crusher. Anyother makers out there with comparable rifles?

Conical bullets / Muzzle guide question

im shooting great plains 410 and 385 conicals. Using tripple 7 powder (loose and pellets) 100 grain loads. Will cut clover leafs at 50 yards with open sights. My other encore did not shoot conicals very well, but shot them acceptable enough for hunting at 50 yards or so.

    Vari flame coffee substitute

I have just got done experimenting with the variflames. In My encore they work great, they fire everytime. I used CCI and Federal SRP's. Accuracy doesnt seem to be "improved" but its not degrading anything either. If Im honest with my self, I think the barrel is just as dirty as with regular...

    Felt wads with conicals?

Should you use Felt wads with conicals? My encore really shoots the 410 grain great plains bullets accurately. I was shooting them just sitting on top of t7 pellets. But I recently read that a felt wad should be used. What do you guys think?

does T/C's T17 bore solvent seem like armor all?

Just bought a bottle of T17 for the heck of it. Feels, smells just like armor all. Seems to work okay. But heck water works okay too. Probably wont buy another bottle anytime soon. The little spray bottle is nice!

Real Happy with the new encore today.

Real Happy with the new encore today.

Was heading out to go check my bait station when the mailman showed up with my new encore barrel, forend and variflames. So I was pretty excited to try that out today. Got up to the cabin, and began blasting at 50 yards. First shot was dead center and about 2 inches high. 2 more shots and they...

I want to open muzzleloader/archery/reloading shop

I buy a lot of outdoors stuff. 50% of the things I buy (or want) are sort of specialty or not readily available. I have been amazed at the amount of shoppers at sportsmans warehouse here. Paticularly the gun counter side. The amount of reloading stuff they sell is amazing. Archery, that place...

Should I have gotten the prohunter barrel?

I just dropped a wad of cash for a stainles thumbhole hardwoods pro hunter encore. They were out of the 50 cal barrels or I would have gotten the pro hunter one right then. Any way I got home and had a chance to cool off the wallet. I started to order a pro hunter barrel, then I tried to...

    Ramrod for encore

Is there a ramrod available for the encore that lets you keep a jag attached to it while it is in the stock? I cant believe they expect you to put your jag on every time. Plus Im always looking for it and worrying that I forgot it somewhere.
