    The Wolf that could

Thanks. He said the .500s slid down his, .501s loaded easily and the .502s were harder to start then loaded with medium effort. He's going with 100gr BH to start, hopefully it'll be enough of a kick to get good obturation.

    The Wolf that could

Very nice. Out of curiosity have you ever tried the thors out of it? Guy I know just bought one, shoots good at 50 with 100gr of BH209 and 350gr FBPs, he just got a sizing pack of thors from Terry and it looks like the .502s are what he needs.

without a chrony it very well could be if the speed was substantially lower due to older powder.

It looks like the flash channel is larger on the plug Ron sent than the stock CVA plug, will have to check with the drill bits they use for cleaning to be sure. Hopefully Ron will see this and let us know.

Sabotloader, makes perfect sense. We'll be testing Ron's plug soon and if that solves the problem, will have the CVA plug modded. Thanks.

    The Traveling Breech Plug

Ron, is that plug for a cva, accura by chance? Would love to test it in my buddy's dad's gun if possible, with CCI reg primers.

    BH209 temp sensitive?

Please do if possible, as the fit seemed to be the same in what you described and his barrel. Also please use regular CCI primers if possible.

    More good thoughts. Thanks :)

    BH209 temp sensitive?

Thanks fellas. I hadn't thought or asked about loading pressure. I'll find out if it loaded easier. If they did, maybe all that's needed is a light knurl.

    BH209 temp sensitive?

We set up my buddy's dad's CVA accura V1 with BH209, drilled the flash hole to .035 per frontier gander's recommendation, and used the .50 300gr FTX sabotless. Only primers we could get around here were regular CCI, not magnums. When sighting in, the gun shot perfectly and went boom every...
