Did a search and didn't see anything on this topic and also checked the CO DOW website.
Is the PB aerotip legal in CO now?
I thought I saw something in a post on some forum concerning this.

I hunted the ML season in CO first time in 2009 - previously had always been with centerfire rifle.

Last year I used a 348 gr PB with some of Frontier Gander's lead inserts.

Thank you

yes powerbelt aerotips are legal. If you need more inserts, i'd be more than happy to cast you up some more. They'll do a much greater job

Yep, as long as they fly well out of your gun, I would take frontier's inserts over the plastic ones every time.

Of course other good choices would be the FPB and the Thor. Neither would require any modification since they did away with the length requirement.

Cheapest of the 3 would be the FPB and they will get the job done

Most durable of the three would be the Thor.

Thanks FG. Still have some of your inserts from last year, even after giving some to my hunting pards.

I was zeroing my TC Omega a couple weeks back and could only find the aero tips at a local shop, so used them. I will get some of the 348 Gr HPs and add your inserts like last year -

I was the ML Newbie who sent you the long snivel after the 2009 season about knocking a cow end over end in the La Garita with one of your inserts, only to not get reloaded in time - shot went completely through the animal but was about two inches above the vital lung area. Good news is that she lived to tell some war stories.

Look forward to shooting your inserts again this year - we again drew cow tags as a group for GMA 68.

Thanks "Tex."
