Triple 7 volume to weight conversion, I know I have seen this here somewhere, looked for a while today and could not find it! Can anyone steer my in the right direction? Would like to try out my new 10-10 scale this weekend. THX

Well, if 77.7 grains weight equals 100 grains volume, then each grain volume will weigh 0.777 grains (77.7 divided by 100).
So 80 grains volume will weigh 62.16 grains (80 X 0.777), and 85 grains volume will weigh 66.045 grains (85 X 0.777), etc., etc.

You can just figure out those loads by using the .777 multiplier.
Examples:
80 gr VOLUME x 0.777 = 62.16 gr WEIGHT
100 gr VOLUME x 0.777 = 77.7 gr WEIGHT
120 gr VOLUME x 0.777 = 93.24 gr WEIGHT
Like sabotloader said you could round up to 78 grains, or use the 0.78 multiplier for easier math.
I would suggest you throw 5 to 10 charges with your powder measure to see what you get for an average WEIGHT of 100 gr VOLUME charges. This is always good to know when in the field and you have to throw a charge when you don't have your scale with you. I have different powder measures, and all of them throw a slightly different 100 gr VOLUME charge, and can WEIGH between 74 and 78 grains IME.
