I finally got a chance to shoot one of our Omega scopes at 200 yards to see how it would perform with my load combo. I was NOT disappointed! I used my wife's Pursuit XLT with 300 grain Shockwaves with the suppllied black sabot, 110 grains of BH209, and a CCI209M primer.

The last time I shot the Pursuit with the same load combo, it gave me a nice 1 inch group at 100 yards with the group located an inch high of the bullseye. After firing a fouling shot, I shot a three shot group at the 200 yard target. I knew the 10 to 20 mph crosswind would be a factor so I held the 200 yard circle on the scope about 7 inches to the left of the bullseye. The group I shot was centered around the bullseye and measured a little over 3 1/2 inches. I didn't think that was too bad considering the gusty winds and my not so steady card table I was using as a shooting bench.

I can't wait for a less windy day so I can see if I can tighten up the 200 yard group a little and see how the 250 yard circle on the scope performs for my load combo.

Thats a real good group @ 200 yds. I have seen fellas who couldn't get results like that with CF rifles. Good shootin. 8)
