I'm headed down to my friends lease in Central FL this weekend. I've harvested deer there before but no hogs. We know the hogs are there because people have seen them on the property and there is faint evidence of hog activity. My question is, how do I draw them to a specific location? I have a blind set-up in the rear of the property that will allow me to approach it and get into it virtually undetected in the morning. It faces several shooting lanes we cut about 100 yards toward the rear propety limit. My plan is to dig a few holes in these lanes and pour some "Pig Out" into them. Should I cover them back up or leave them open? I was then going to spread some corn all around that area to draw them in and let them find the holes.

I've read and been told that it's best to try and find wollows near a water source or fresh rooting and bait those areas, but that kind of sign is scarce on this property. I figure if I haven't attracted any hogs after a few days there probably aren't any in the area.

Any tips?

Interesting... I haven't seen that before. I know the regular C'Mere Deer doesn't work very well...

I just got a couple bags of deer corn. It's a long drive from the front gate to where the blind is set-up. Maybe I'll see some fresh sign or a wollow on the way. Then that would be a better place to use these items.

I use these 2 product when I go to Texas to hunt hogs . Be using these products again in a few weeks . Black Gold & Matrix has never fail me.

Hog baiting

Get some feed corn and a set of post hole diggers. Use the post hole diggers to make a hole 2.5-3 feet deep. Fill it to about 5-6" shy of the top and cover it back up with some of the dirt, sprinkle some kernels around in the area on the ground.

It will work if the corn is dry and the hogs will find it eventually, but it works better if the corn is soured some, ground water will help sour it also.

Should be able to get about 3 holes to a 50 lb bag.

I usually put three or four holes in an area that will allow you to have multiple shots at different hogs, the different angles will give you a better kill shot.

I've heard people swear by mixing jello mix and beer with the corn and let it sit for a few days before putting it out.

A feral hog will eat anything that doesn't eat it first. They are not picky eaters by no means. Plain ol feed corn will work to keep them in the area about as well as anything. All the added "flavors" and "secret concoctions" just helps them locate the feed a little faster.
The worst thing about hogs is thier tendency to go nocturnal when they are pressured. You can have a bait station the size of a mini van but if they are nocturnal you will have to wait them out.

potatoes, corn and beer. mix it in a bucket a few days before you go hunting and let it get nice and stinky. never failed me.

hog bait

use molasses with the corn,We do that in Ga. and always bring home hog meat, don't need much, just a little and They will smell it
