Is out on the market! I just found this out today when i went to order a couple cases of APP-JSG Super Sticks.

Cost runs about the same as the American pioneer. Its sold only in 2F form and the granule size is in between 2f-3f APP loose. Its also been made so that the granules are consistent rather than the current, chunky to tiny size that we see in the APP-JSG.

Velocity is supposed to be in the 1,950FPS area with a 100 grain volume charge, depending on the rifles barrel and how its been cleaned.

I ordered a case of this stuff to try out, so we'll see how she do!

Is it made by American Pioneer? Didn't see anything on the net for it??

yes its made by american pioneer. Nothing is out on the net about it from what i can tell.

You ordered a case to try out?!

Dude............ 8) 8)
Now thats what I call confidence. He knows it has to be better.

its best to order in bulk. the last time i only ordered 2 cans each of their super sticks and i needed more after that. A case is only 12 cans.

I was told back around January in an email from APP to watch for Super Powder to be out soon. I was told in the email it would give better velocities then Triple Seven. Heck I had forgot all about it. Where did you order from?

what is the big deal with this powder???

Someone please describe it's attributes.....

Is it hotter?
Is it cleaner?
Is it non corrosive?
To what point?
Is it extruded? Ball?
Is it consistent?
Questions could go on forever...
Is it cheaper?
will it be available everywhere?

If it gave constant velocity close to 777, far less crud ring with any primers and easier to clean....i would give it a try.

So far the JSG 2FG i tried was a joke (gravel) and the 3FG isnt too bad as a plinking powder. The only thing i really did like was it was fairly clean and easy to clean up.

I can relate to the American Pioneer 2F being like gravel! I have a few knicks in the bottom of my barrel which I think is from compressing that gravel....Hopefully Frontier Gander can make it work and give some crono info to see if its as good as APP website claims. I was really wanting to get my hands on some Black Dot this summer but it does not look like that's gonna happen.

Frontier Gander, thanks for the info. i like JSG and Pinnacle powders and want to try this new APP powder. With the APP made powders there is no crud ring and the gun is easy to re-load without swabbing: i have fired as many as 30 rounds with no swabbing. You can't do that with Pyrodex or 777.

All of the APP powders like a tight fitting sabot seated very hard on the powder. JSG and Pinnacle may not be quite as powerful as 777 but i could care less because it works for me.

Same here, i was really looking forward to the newest version of BlackMag aka BlackDot....My prayers are still with the families.

My current stock of BH209 is getting low so im looking for other options that are more affordable for plinking. It doesnt even have to be as powerful as T7, just cleaner and as consistent in velocity variations.

Around here Pyrodex is about $20lb, JSG/APP is about $23lb, T7 about $24lb and BH209 about $28 for 10 ounces. Blackmag was supposed to be a little cheaper (by weight, 12oz roughly per bottle) than BH209 but much heavier by volume too.

I look forward to FGs report and a chance to test it myself. He appears to have a connection to CVA and APP/JSG so i will consider his results accordingly but not just dismiss them. Comparing his results to my own will be fun. :D

BTW FG what was the price per bottle minus hazmat? Cabelas usually has their products so i have a close source when its available locally.
