I have 2 Knight rifles that have the allen head type screw you take out to remove the bolt. I normally use a Knight rifle with the QR 'plunger' deal, which is much nicer. Would a guy get the QR adapter from Knight? Or is it a standard item that could be hunted down some other way? Anybody have 2 for sale? What size hole gets tapped to allow one to be put on? Do you drill the current hole larger then put the threads in? I thought I saw something here at one time. Thanks.

You can get the bolt QR from Knight.

You do have to drill the hole out and tap it out with a 1/4"x36 tap (need to check this information... They are hard to find but a good parts store can order you one...

Busta confirms... It is indeed 1/4-36, and you will also need a #2 drill.

I just finished that modification. Knight sent me one for free. The tap is indeed 1/4-36 # 2 drill bit.

at one time before the bust you could send in your rifle and they would install and return ship for 35 bucks (don't quote me on the amount but I think it's right). They even preferred you did that to make sure the hole got drilled 100% straight.

I think they preferred that you paid them the 35 bucks. rt says $30 for his, but he had 2 done at the same time, as well as ordered other parts, so might have got a slight break? I did mine for just the cost of the part.
