Hey guys, i've been reading alot of post on here about the cva. I shoot an old bolt cva and i want to get a new one. can't decide between the optima or the accura. they both feel nice to me.

Thanks for the info.

the new optima without a doubt! Or wait for the v2 accura that has the QRBP. You'll love the QRBP. kiss grease or tape goodbye!

They both ARE nice guns
I have not shouldered the new Optima but I have an old one that is a shooter.
I have the Accura also and love it.
Just get both of them :D

I just handled a new Apex at Cabelas in Nebraska. They were out of the 50 cal. and only had the centerfire version in .308 (i think thats what he said). Fit and finish looked great and it felt good when I shouldered it. I think thats gonna be my next muzzleloader.

Apex, Accura, Optima. Hell, you cant go wrong with any of them IMO. All 3 have sweet triggers and are accurate.

cant decide

thanks for the info guys. Not into the apex..hey gander, what do you shoot out of yours.

right now, 90gr bh209 - 245 powerbelt in the Optima and 110gr bh209 - 245 powerbelt in the Accura. These loads really do great in my rifles. Everything from the 245-295-338 + all will do 1 1/2" or under 1"

Could go for a bit higher quality. There is going to be some new knights out soon and there is always the Triumph.

Accura-Apex and especially the Optima are Quality. I dont see no Accuracy guarantee on the triump, nor do i see any new knights out on the market.

IMO even though i love Knights, its hard to beat an Acurra for the money.

The trigger my not be adjustable but its sweet. The Barrel may not be a Green Mountain buts its a very forgiving Bergara barrel.

You already know it fits you well so.........

BTW Knight IS back in business and there are plenty of left over deals out there if you look for them. KP1s are still available and Knight is selling barrels for them.

I never bought a knight because I didn't feel they were lefty friendly.
I would like to see some completly ambidexterious models that arent so ugly.
I will be giving them a good look when the new one's come out because alot of the shooters on the forum that I look up to swear by them.
