I am planning a Colorado elk hunt for 2011 with my uncle and a couple of cousins, and I am curious if anyone has had sights put on their NULA.

I had a set of Recknagels put on a Blaser barrel last year and love them, and that is what I would like on my muzzleloader.

No iron sights on mine. I'm sure Melvin can do just about anything you'd like.

I have to be honest and say if I had a choice ALL of my rifles would have iron sights on them. The only reasons some do not, is because #1 you could not get them from the factory with them and #2 I could not find a smith locally who would install them. As a matter of fact the few smiths I spoke with localy about it looked at me as if I had suddenly sprouted a second head while they watched.

I always bring a second back up rifle on every hunt in the advent my rifles scope fails. This is not a option on a pure back pack hunt how ever, and having a rifle with a good set of iron sights could one day save your hunt. With practice iron sights are good to at least 200yrds on deer sized or larger game.

My 10ML-II, my slug guns, and my Encore all still wear sights.
