I just wanted to get some pics up so anybody that is looking for a ML scope can have this to search from. I was at WalMart and got these T/C universal Gorilla see-thru base/rings for $9 until I can get some quality mounts in a few weeks. I really don't mind the see-thru rings. And I want to keep my rear sight attached for the Unit I hunt goes from open area to fairly thick. Si I might just have to get high rings. This is the only way I could mount the scope to get the ML shouldered comfortably w/ the the right amount of eye relief. I saw another person do this on another scope while doing my searches.

Nice lookin gun you have thier. I like that vise set up. Hows the hunting in NM? Im getting stationed out thier near Cannon AFB. Is it hard to get a draw? Thanks

mount

I am wondering about the whipping from the shock? Do U think that scope will hold up to that for long?

Never seen that configuration before. I would call your scope company and see what they say about how you have it mounted. I would think it would put extra stress on the scope where it shouldn't be. Let us know what you find out. Just curious, how much eye relief do those scopes come with?

I wish I could be of more help to you, but I just don't know that much. I'm assuming you'll be muzzleloading. The breakdown is 78% resident tags and 12% non-resident for all big game tags. I'm new to ML so this will be my first year putting in for it. I've always bow hunted. I've gotten deer bow tags the last 5 years I started back hunting. This may be due to my choice of Unit 32, large area surrounding Roswell. For deer bow you get a September 1 - 20th hunt (way too hot around here still so I don't even go then) and if you don't get one your allowed to go the next Jan. 1 - 15th. Last year I scored on an elk tag (9/1 - 9/15) the first year putting in for it. Unit 45 that includes the Pecos Wilderness. You get three choices of either the Unit or weapon for each big game tag. Guys have been pretty upset since they went to the lottery. And I imagine their gonna be more mad this year. You used to have to pay up front for applications on exotic game (Barbary & Big Horn sheep, Ibex and Oryx) only, but now they want the money up front for all big game (Antelope, Deer and Elk included). If you stay away from the "Quality" or "High Demand" Units I believe you have more of a chance. My bow elk tag last year was classified as "Regular" Unit w/ 125 tags available. Hope it helps. Time to go back to work. :(

THANKS for the heads up!!! I've been having Toby Bridges help me out a little here and there. When I previously contacted the manufacturer about this scope they referred me to him if I had additional questions. So he said "It does make the scope a bit more vulnerable to being knocked out of alingment. But shooting will tell.

Let me ask...how tall are you?"

So I'd rather not chance it. This set-up is only tempory for a few weeks until I can get a T/C Maxima base and Warne QD rings. A friend invited me today out to his ranch this weekend to get it sighted in. Sooooo, you see anything wrong w/ this pic?

Looks like you are pushing the gun away from your shoulder to get the proper eye relief.

scope

I stand 6'5" and am described as having gorilla arms. I push those scopes forward as far as I acan , ina ddition I use high scope mounts as I tend to shoot heads up. Yep, i get cracked every once in while. I had an Omega and it was great for eye releif, but I put on a Elite 32oo I like much better.
