Another great AMERICAN company closing. :x

I've never bought any of their barrels, but boy do I love their saboted slugs for my 12ga. They were the cheapest rifled slug I could find several years back and I'm still shooting them today. They have killed many of deer with none going over 50yds. Identical ballistics to the Lightfields at 2/3 the price. Guess I'll buy up what I can, when I can. I see Cabelas is already soldout at 6.88 a box.

I'm surprised that they lasted this long. 25 years ago most of the gun companies were very slow to fill the needs of slug hunters so there was a niche for their high performance barrels. But now more guys that slug hunt use factory engineered specialty slug guns. And there is plenty of selection and competition. The cutting edge slug shooters no longer use autos or pumps, but moved to the next level which is a Bolt gun. It's sad but everything has it's time and eventually out lives it. The clowns that still use smooth bores and Foster slugs surely didn't help the cause either. They made a high quality barrel and have a loyal following. Hopefully it will make them more valuable and not less like the Knight Rifles. There's a big run on the Knight's Elite bolt rifle now at $280 on closeout. But where were all those guys while they were selling for $750? Evidently the cost was too high for the latent user and sales too low for them to stay in business.
