Couldn't stand it anymore so I headed for the field today with my BC, target, and chrono. I was shooting some old Knight all lead bullets and sabots that ran about .512" OD - and I had to stand on the ramrod to get them in so I swabbed in between shots with some Hoppe's #9 for lubrication. I shot 100, 110, & 120 grains of BH209 with CCIM primers.
The 3rd shot of the day at 100 grains, the primer did not fire even though there was a dent on it. The next cap caused a hang fire which must have caused the low velocity. I had used a Leupold Zero Point bore sighter, set my Swarovski scope to mechanical zero, and bore sighted it - I'm impressed with this little toy. With a Shooting chrony F1 set 10' away with a debris shield, here's the velocities it registered:

I had some new 260 grain PR Dead Centers that I wanted to try and used 115 gr of BH209. (Measuring afterwards) these sabots are about .503"-504" OD and nearly fell down the barrel some there wasn't alot of pressure built up and my fps was only 1709 but hit somewhere with the rest of the holes.
Here's my target that was set at 50 yards, I was using a Bull Bag plus a rear bag shooting off the back of my tailgate into a 6 mph crosswind. The one shot in the orange was from the hangfire, otherwise I just kept shooting with the higher powder volumes punching the higher groups. I was a bit skeptical of those energy burners on the stock but this BC was a piece of cake to shoot with very little recoil - probably attributed to some decent groups. I really like the way it shoots - good job T/C.
