You guys think that using my optima elite 270 barrel, using a 130 grain hornady bullet is a little to much for yotes?

thanks
andy

It will kill them just fine. Hopefully, you don't want the pelts, cuz there will be some big holes.

Federal has a 110 gr Barnes loadfor the 270 that should work well, but I'll bet its not cheap.

Remington has a 100 gr loadthat should also be a good yote fragger. That is if they shoot well.

I use a .17hmr , but keep my shots under 100 yards , so far 4 shots , 4 coyotes DRT .

Any big game caliber will do if pelt damage not at issue.

.223 ammo is way cheaper !!

+1 on the .223 ammo....heres what Remington 45 gr. HP's do out of my Savage 10 FP....I get them in the 40 round box for $24.95, not bad. The groupd measures just a hair over 1/2" for 3 shots @ 100 yards.
