I had to buy a new breech plug for my Triumph due to the rings that prevent blow by breaking apart. The rubber gasket in the back was fine. The rings that broke appeared to be metal of some type. I believe there are three of them about a third of the way from the end of the plug.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Not to my knowledge. Call TC or E-mail them from there web page and tell them about it. I expect they will send you a new one. Lee

The gas rings can be easily be replaced, but because of liability TC can not let a knowingly let a normal person do it. They are the same type ring used in one of the military combat rifles. Mail it to them and they will replace them - probably free - lifetime warranty.

I have not any problem with mine at all, and your report is the fisrt I have seen it pop up...

i know a guy with a pro hunter who complained about rust on the rings,i ask what kind of oil he uses,he says i do'nt use any i just use t/c#13 cleaner.i suggested a little oil for the rings but he thinks it will contaminate his powder.it never has for me............karl

I put one drop of synthetic oil on mine when I clean also, have never had any problem and I have been doing it since the Triumph first came out I got one right away.
