My first Stick

I got my powder supply in today and im really anxious to try out the sticks. They come with 4 tubes to carry them in while hunting.


100gr Super Stick dropped right down the fouled bore of the CVA Accura and the 300gr XTP - MMP-12 sabot went right on top of it with ease.

The Jim Shockeys Gold is a lot finer than the regular APP 2f - 3f so im really wanting to try that 3f in my flinters! JSG supposed to have a lower temp setoff rating.

Super Stick didn't rub the sides of my barrel or cut anything off the stick. I already have 3 shots on this dirty bore and it loaded without a problem.

100gr SS VS 150gr SS,

I'll see how it goes tomorrow with the Accura. Im a little afraid to try those 150gr SS with the scope on :lol:

If your going to shoot 150 grains with that scope on... could you use your camcorder and tape that for us. Love to see the results. :yeah:

It will be interesting to see what kind of accuracy you get out of them and your evaluation of JSG and APP if they shoot different.

Sorry for the big pictures but it was needed in order to get close up of the powder.

JSG 2f / APP 2f are pretty much the same size, JSG lights off with less fire and is cleaner and slightly more powerful.

JSG 3F / APP 3F - Theres a huge difference in size.

how the heck do you measure it? Your gonna get alotta empty space in the measure. Are you using he 2f or 3f?

i measure by weight. I first measure it in my measure then tap it 5 times to settle it, refill and cut then pour onto my scale. I like to have my charges consistent so i measure it all by weight.

Yep

JSG 3FG is what i use when im not using BH209. 2FG was a total PITA to pre measure into tubes and would barely pour from a flask.

I cant say its great but it works and its not nearly as dirty T7 or Pyrodex. Velocity/energy is about the same as Pyrodex RS but cleans up almost as easy as BH209.

It worked surprisingly well in a 54cal ThunderHawk with a 300gr FTX 50/54 sabot using 100grs and 209 conversion.

I use it mostly for just plinking powder in my Win Apex. 50cal. 90-100gr and 250-300gr hardcast bullets with sabots.
