I started bow hunting before I ever used a firearm to kill anything. My brother bought a Bear Kodiak Magnum and soon lost interest and gave it to me. I was 12 then. I have never stoped bow hunting since. Use to walk over to the huge fields and forrest that surrounded and bordered on a huge sanitary land fill anout 2 miles from my home. Took rabits and phesents to eat with that bow, and shot a truck load of possums and coons with it as well. Even dispatched a few ferral cats with it. Have since long ago made the move to compound bows.

I have killed almost as meny deer with my bow as with my shot gun and far more than with my ML.

I hear that. Bow hunting is definately a passion. I started with a shotgun, then rifle, but it's all good. Once I started bowhunting it was all over. It's just a different game.

I do.My buddy got me into hunting with a bow. When rifle season came up he asked if I was going back out. :? I thought to my self..."What won't cost me an house payment, and what would make people think I'm out of my mind".
Well a .50 cal muzzy of course.Tho I've been thinking about getting an mossin, and putting an modern stock on it.I'm sure I wont use it as much as the muzzy, but their a cheap, and if you scrutinize the selection you can get a straight shooter.
I have a old .22 lr from my grandfather too that I use for squirrel when I'm out away in the mountains, and don't feel like eating top romen again. :)

My Bowtech is my weapon of choice, but in Texas you can't hunt with a bow during Muzzle Loader season.

I used to bowhunt all the time, not so much anymore. I still shoot regularly though incase I still want to go. Started with the muzzleloader a couple years ago. Lots of fun being able to extend the hunting season.

Definitely. Those who don't bowhunt often miss out on some of the best hunting there is.

I agree. Bowhunting is more than just a hunt. There is so much you see and learn while out there.

I have been away from bow hunting for about eight years. Looking to get back to it next year. Rifle season starts in Michigan November 15, and that is when I pull the inline out.

I started hunting with slingshots then pellet guns. Went to a recurve, to rifle, to compound at about 20 yrs old. Stuck with compounds for the next 8 yrs then longbows for 10 yrs. Shot more deer and elk with that longbow than anything else. Family demands forced me back to compounds for a few yrs but now I am going back to the longbow, wheels are just not as fun. Now at 48 I realize I ain't done enough huntin so in order to expand the seasons I'm picking up the muzzy to go along with the longbow.

I'll always be an archer before all other but I'm looking forward to some muzzy huntin this yr. My youngest daughter, 14, also wants to muzzy hunt. Bought her a 54 deerstalker and she loves it. Really looking forward to her getting her first deer.

TORE my bicept loose 2 years ago!! Now i use a hand gun. Shot one last week with it!!

Been bowhunting about 15 years. Just bought a ML though in hopes of increasing my chances at getting another elk tag in the lottery this year. :prayer:

I'm getting back into bow hunting again after taking eight years off. Been doing the duck hunting thing but here in west Michigan our flyway just does not carry the ducks.

I put my deer shotgun away three years ago and replaced it with an Omega TC 50 cal. I enjoy trying the different loads and bullet on the range. Hope I never find the perfect load because it will ruin the fun.

Bow and ML

I use all three. I use my bow during PA's archery seasons, my inlines for the October ML season and centerfire for that season. Just shot my bow yesterday, 98* here today, too hot!

My younger son and I are hoping to get our first deer with the bows this year. Been practicing hard all summer and are ready! Had two close encounters last week but unable to get a shot (ground hunting).

Same here with all 3... Never killed a deer with bow, but I'm going to this year! (<- positive thinkin'!!!!)

I also deer hunt with several different methods. Dependent upon the time of year the state and some other variables. I personally feel that any modern broadhead through the vitals of an animal at 300+ feet per second is the most devastating weapon you can use on big game.

I hunt with a bow also. It actually my main passion. Now I'm getting into muzzys though.

I also love bowhunting, it's where i spend most of my time, and it is my passion. I have been bowhunting for about 27yrs. Muzzleloading being a close second.
