Guess I just can not help myself...

Thanks to a trade with Semi and other parts on hand I was able to put together another hypbrid... A Rene with set triggers and a 15/16ths GM-LRH Barrel... Finished putting it together this morning

I really do like the Renegade...

Looks good. Now all you have to do is break in that new barrel. Work up a good load, because I'm going to copy it in the other barrel.

Man Im gettng an itch for a nice .54 cal and thinking of piecing one together or doing a complete kit build.

That's a pretty gun. What would be interesting is to scope on of them LRH and then see if it can shoot side by side with a inline...

Well Cayugad, when the 1" .50 LRH barrel arrives from Sabotloader, and the new 4X Simmons ProDiamond arrives from Natchez Shooters Supply (this will be number four) and the scope base arrives from Fox Ridge Outfitters, you're going to find out how they shoot with 300 grain Gold Dots.

Hey Sabotloader - "he ain't heavy, he's my Renne".

You know Dave, there is no doubt in my mind - if I scoped it - it would do everything any of my inlines will do. They are great barrels and normally they shoot great - I am sure this one will also

BUT, i jis can not bring myself to put a scope on it (sorry semi)

I am sorta hoping to get out and shoot it this week but I am waiting for Semi to get my barrel and make the final decision if the deal floats or not. This one will be a sabot gun and the SS-LRH will remain the conical gun.

It really feels good when you stick it up in ur shoulder.

Bit I really do have to quit collecting Renegades or I am sure Terry would say quit collecting ML's.... and I am not really collecting I just can not bring myself to selling one of good ones.

What I like about the Renegades is how solid the stock is on them.. And I have yet to purchase a Renegade with a bad trigger and lock. They just fit me, and besides it was the very first muzzleloader I ever owned. I built my first one from a kit and I still shoot that rifle.

My tracking - says it is on your doorstep right now - take a look at it...

Well, I'll be darn. It sho`nuff was out there under the carport. Don't know how the FedEx guy snuck it there without the dog barking. I guess the rain and thunder covered his approach (yep, still raining here).

You may as well put some powder in that 15/16" barrel and touch her off Sabotloader. I'm happy if you're happy. :p

Not to worry. But remember, scopes on sidelocks are kind of like drinking Scotch neat - it burns a little the first time you try it, but after a while you grow to really like it.
