This is from another site:
I have a winchester x-150 .50 cal muzzleloader for sale.

It has a composite camo stock, stainless steel fluted barrel,it is scoped and sighted in dead nuts at 100 yards, using 100 grains loose 777 powder with a t/c 240 grain shockwave.

It will come with a jug of 777 loose powder, remington clean bore primers, capping tool, cleaning patches,4 quick loaders, sabot starters, ram rod handle, hard case, and a few shockwave sabots and a box of t/c xtp sabots

Ever thing you need to hunt with is right here, I amjust going to switchover to archery only.

It was bought by me brand new in sept 2005 at Jay's in clare.I paid just over $500,not inc the acc's

Looking for $350

Is this a good deal? What's the scope on Winchester ML? Good bad? How do they compare to a TC Omega (which is top on my shopping list right now)

Thanks!

Just my opinion - but NO! unless it is a very expensive scope.

For that money you can get a new technology ML and have a far better gun.

The Winchester, made by BPI/CVA has the old Spanish Extruded Barrel.

Thanks SL.

I am kind of set on the T/C Omega Stainless with regular Laminate stock. Just can't find one right now and kind of waiting to see the T/C Triumph comes out in REAL SS and maybe a different stock.

Thats false! They were the first bpi to ever have the stainless barrel and were of high quality. I used to push the 295gr powerbelts with 170gr RS. Made pretty shower sparks but shot good.

As for the price of $350. I paid that when mine was brand new. They are a super accurate rifle, handle like a dream and the solid stock soaks up recoil nicely.

If it were me, i'd offer $225-$250 for just the rifle.

Heres some work i did on mine and the group it shot with open sights @ 100.

If you can get it in the price range that i said to offer for just the rifle, GET IT.

The X-150 was rumored to be a little difficult so far as priming and removing the spent primer. Any truth to that?

i could prime/unprime with my bare fingers. Actually, if you held the rifle with the barrel pointed straight up and opened the bolt, the primer would just fall right out.

W-150

Buddy has one; very accurate but heavy (i.e., much heavier than my TC Omega). Overall, he has had no issues with it.

I have CVA .45 MagBolt that has been a piece of junk ever since I opened the package it cam in. Maybe I will try floating it and see if that helps. I have yet to see it group better than 4" on a good day and normaly over 6".
